Blind 12-Year-Old Gets To See Mother For First Time Thanks To Amazing Glasses

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, what are you planning to do for the special lady in your life? Maybe take her out to a nice dinner, or clean the house from top to bottom? Moms are an important part of our lives because they’re the ones that teach us right from wrong. She’s that shoulder to cry on when you’re having a bad day, and her home-cooked meals are to die for.
Christopher Ward Jr. doesn’t have to worry about buying his mom a gift because he just gave her the greatest of all – seeing her for the first time. The 12-year-old has been blind since birth, but thanks to a pair of eSight electronic glasses, he was able to finall look at his mom.
Marquita Hackley’s son was born with optic nerve hypoplasia, which means he can only see things from really up close, according to ABC News. Hackley heard about the electronic glasses from her son’s vision tutor, and she was immediately on board with the idea. The family traveled to Washington D.C. for a trial demonstration, and the results were amazing.

Needless to say that this young man’s life just got changed for the better, and just in time for mom’s special day. The emotions are running high in this video with good reason. Every parent wants to see their child have a bright future, and thanks to the electronic glasses, Ward is able to see every part of it.
