Xavi: Casillas was misunderstood at Real Madrid

 

Xavi Hernandez has said that Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas was misunderstood at his former club.
The ex-Barcelona midfielder defended the actions of Casillas, including the famous call to Xavi and Carles Puyol after a particularly feisty Clasico.
"Iker Casillas was misunderstood at Real Madrid," he said in an interview with beIN Sports.
"Even the call he made for everybody's wellbeing was misinterpreted by the Madrid fans, or more so by Mourinho."
When asked about his former side Barcelona, he admitted that there is an expectation from the fans to create chances and score goals.
"Barcelona fans don't understand any other way of playing, of not being on top and creating 15 to 20 chances per game," he said.
